Cyanotype... Copy paper VS. Transparency Negative

I recently received some UV yellowed ink jet transparency film. The first image was made with a transparency at a 5 min exposure. The second was made with a copy paper negative exposed for 35 mins. I really like the quickness and detail of the transparency film, but for some reason the copy paper's softness wins my vote. I love how some of the texture and pulp variations actually show up in the final print. I also seem to be getting better mid range values with the copy paper(see the log) I'm still working on ways to get the mid range values to come out better. Ive been searching the net and you tube but everybody seems to be using negatives from a 4x5 camera. I want to keep it simple.
