Cyanotype Success

As I washed the excess sensitiser of my cheep drawing paper and watched this image appear today, I felt that same surge of excitement going through my blood that I felt the first time I developed my own black and white photo. Sure it's not perfect-the cheap paper ripped, there is not a strong dark value, and its slightly out of focus, but it is a cyanotype. The real success remains that it is something that I can repeat in a classroom setting on a shoe-string budget. My kind of project! For a negative I used a photo of my shadow on Mt. Rainier printed on cheap copy paper. The exposure here was 25 mins at around 9 this morning so it was not getting full sun. I can't wait to do this with the kids!!!!
