Treasure from the kiln

I find it more than a bit funny that our kiln is sooo enormous, it holds so much stuff, it takes so much energy to fire, it can hold a million big pots, and my favorite is this tiny little scoop. I'll never be able to sell this little guy its to tiny for to sell for what it is worth and its worth to much to me to sell. Yet It means nothing at all to me if I keep it, for pottery is meant to be shared. The final step in my creative process is to hand over the ownership to someone else. Visual, tactile communication. Along with the scoop, I had many pots that I was more than pleased with the results. Here is a tiny sample.

Looking Back<--------

The pots are all in the studio, the wood pile is gone, and now we can start all over again. A little reflection.......... It's always the smallest pieces I like the best, this time was no exception. My little scoops were such a delight to take from the kiln(Pictures of pots coming soon). Next time I plan to make more stacking bowls that are slightly thicker, and use more clear glaze. Pictures of pots coming soon, here is the full video of the firing for u to enjoy:)
